Project Description:
The National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) has issued announcements of two programs offering support for research facilities renovation and improvement of facilities used in biomedical or behavioral research. The programs are summarized below:

| Scope | Major alterations and renovations to existing facilities; additions to existing facilities; completion of uninhabitable shell space in existing facilities; or construction of new facilities | Core facilities are defined as centralized shared resources that provide access to instruments, technologies or services. The major objective is to support core facilities that support PHS research. Funding can be provided to centralize core facilities if facilities exist at different departments |

Notice of intent: Send an email message to gsgrants@bascom.wisc.edu with "NCRR Facilities " in the subject line by Tuesday, March 24, 2009 to inform us of your intention to submit a proposal. Please include the following in your email message:

--PI/PD Name
--Building/Project Name
--Estimated Costs including total estimated costs and NIH request (For assistance in estimating costs please contact Teresa Adams, Facilities Planning and Management, tadams@fpm.wisc.edu)
--Is this proposal part of a larger project? If yes, can it proceed on its own?
--Brief Proposal Description
--Project Objectives/Goals, including economic/employment impact
