Project Description:
The major objective of this program is to upgrade animal facilities to support the conduct of biomedical and/or behavioral research. Support can be requested to alter and renovate (A&R) the animal facilities as well as to improve the animal care equipment in the facility. It is expected that all award funds will be expended expeditiously and that applicants will consider the use of sustainable design technologies and design approaches. Budgets for direct costs must be for $500,000 or less.
Eligibility:
UW-Madison is limited to one proposal. NIH will not accept any application that is essentially the same as one already reviewed within the past 37 months.

The program solicitation will provide detailed proposal preparation and submission instructions. For the project selected, a complete proposal must be submitted using Grants.gov. Information about campus procedures for grants.gov is posted on the RSP Web site. Full proposals are due by Friday, August 2, 2013 by 5 pm CDT.
