Education Research Institutional Review Board
The mission of the Education Research Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is to assure that research on educationally related issues is conducted in accordance with state and federal laws and guidelines, University of Wisconsin policies, and ethical practices related to the protection of human research participants – in short, to facilitate responsible research involving human participants and educational issues. This web site provides researchers with details of current policies and procedures of the Education Research IRB, along with guidelines for preparing and submitting research protocols to the IRB.Graduate students must confer with their graduate advisors or members of the Education Research IRB Committee from their units before submitting a protocol for review. Other new investigators are encouraged to confer with members of the Education Research RIB from their departments and units (see information under the Contact Us tab).
