About GradLink@Madison

GradLink@Madison is a monthly email newsletter intended to inform graduate students of events and opportunities that support their professional development. It includes workshop announcements, fellowship opportunities, academic deadlines, volunteer opportunities, social events, and community events likely to be of broad interest to most graduate students. It is produced by the Graduate Student Collaborative (GSC) and the Office of Outreach and Graduate Student Professional Development, in the Graduate School at
UW-Madison.

GradLink@Madison is sent to all graduate students on the third Friday of the month. It is produced eight times a year, September through April.

Faculty, staff, and graduate students are invited to submit event listings and announcements for publication in GradLink@Madison by sending the information in an email to gsc@bascom.wisc.edu by the second Friday of the month.

What is the difference between GradLink@Madison and Grad Connections?
GradLink@Madison and GradConnections are both e-newsletters for graduate students from the Graduate School.

GradLink@Madison is a monthly newsletter of event listings and announcements intended to support the professional development of graduate students. It includes workshop announcements, fellowship opportunities, academic deadlines, volunteer opportunities, social events, and community events likely to be of broad interest. It is sent to all graduate students on the third Friday of the month. It is produced by the Graduate Student Collaborative (GSC) and the Office of Outreach and Graduate Student Professional Development.

Grad Connections is a weekly email newsletter that is sent by the Graduate Student Collaborative (GSC) every Wednesday to the more than 2100 graduate students on its listserv. It includes most of the information in GradLink@Madison plus more specialized announcements, leadership and service opportunities, some job postings, and listings of student-organized social events.

How do I sign-up for GradLink@Madison and Grad Connections?

Graduate students do not need to sign-up for GradLink@Madison as it is sent automatically to all graduate students. You sign-up for Grad Connections by sending an email to gsc@bascom.wisc.edu with subscribe Grad Connections in the subject line.

Entries to GradLink@ Madison should meet the following criteria: (a) be timely, (b) be of broad interest to all graduate students, and (c) be brief. Examples of entries consistent with these criteria include: listing of events sponsored by campus units or the GSC; announcements of fellowships, conferences, and courses; academic deadlines; and administrative announcements. Examples of entries not consistent with these criteria include: campus events or announcements specific to only a subset of graduate students, advertising, and promotional material. Questions should be directed to gsc@bascom.wisc.edu.
