Research and Conference Travel
Many departments and Schools/Colleges have funding for research and conference travel. Check these resources directly. In addition to these resources, the Graduate School, offers a competition for travel funds through the Vilas Travel Fellowship.
The Vilas Travel Grant, administered by the Graduate School Collaborative, provides advanced graduate students with the opportunity to pursue their professional development through travel. To be eligible, one must be a graduate student dissertator or MFA student in their final year, who is actively participating in a conference or exhibition (e.g. presenting a paper, work, or poster), or traveling for dissertation or field research.
Stipend: $600 for domestic or international travel; select group of $1,500 fellowships for international travel
