As the first person in my family to attain a graduate degree, I know first-hand the challenges facing graduate students from low-income, minority backgrounds. I would like you to know that we are committed to be part of your family's generational success story. This truly brings inspiration and renewed energy to all of us here at the Office of Graduate Student Diversity Resources.

We believe in diversity here-the City of Madison has long been a beacon for celebrating diversity and inclusivity, and our University has codified these qualities into our governance. This is one of the largest campuses in the country and it's our mission to make sure it's large enough to embrace your culture and background and small enough to give you a place to belong.
